Every girl needs one. A gay man in her life. Make that a troupe of gay men. It's the perfect no-strings-attached relationship.
Maybe it's just me but I am surrounded by gay men. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Far from it. It's absolutely fabulous. Single girls, especially, need a handsome handbag to clasp in times of need and I have several at my disposal, not that they are disposable at all: they are an integral part of my life, an essential accessory. And just like my real handbags, my manbags are all special in their own way.
Unlike friendships with heterosexual men, there are no blurring of the boundaries with gay men. You don't have to second-guess their motives or analyse their intentions. You don't have to squander time and energy wondering what "that" meant or whether he's just a friend or a whole lot more. Everything is clear-cut. Invariably, heterosexual men cosy up to women because they want some Greco-Roman wrestling under the sheets, whereas gay men only want theatre tickets. When I invited a gay pal to the opening night of Wicked at the Regent, he squealed and screamed orgasmically then sent me a divine bouquet. It was green to match the green-themed musical. That's one man who knows how to co-ordinate. That's one man who appreciates a woman who puts out opening-night tickets. Read more..
